Experience Deep Connection
You feel lost and alone.
Your relationship is rocky.
Remembering the last time you felt fully present is hard. Imposter syndrome has taken over.
Let’s face it…
If experiencing deep connections were easy, I wouldn’t have a job.
So many of us fall into the achievement trap believing our happiness and experiences of joy and peace depend on us doing more. We get so caught up in this that we lose track of our friends, lovers, and, worst of all, ourselves.
Can you remember a time when you were deeply connected to your Self?
Maybe you felt awe as you took in the view of the ocean. Or, you allow yourself to let go and dance until you drop? Maybe, you finally bit the bullet and rode a horse for the first time.
Therapy is often the first step out of the relentless wheel of doing. It opens a path back to your authentic nature and peace that only comes from a deep connection with your Self.
We may touch on some painful topics.
As you learn to access your unconscious, you’ll deepen your connection with Self.
Sometimes what we discover in the unconscious is unsettling, but you won’t be alone. There are parts of you holding onto painful memories from the past. Discovering these parts can reignite old wounds.
With kindness and compassion, I can help you heal. The good news is we also discover old joys that can ignite new passions.
I’ll provide you with non-judgmental support every step of the way.
I’ve been practicing meditation for more than 40 years. My calm, focused attention, and unconditional acceptance helps people open up and share things they never thought they’d share. You might be surprised by the progress you can make when you can finally tell someone “all the things.”
As a former yoga teacher, I’ve learned that the body holds memories that we are not conscious of. With guidance, you will discover your body’s secrets, including how to let go of things that no longer serve you.
Gentle Socratic questioning can be used to explore your unconscious. You may be surprised at some unconscious beliefs that keep you disconnected.
But if you do the work…
You’ll gain a greater understanding of yourself.
I’ve focused for years on creating lasting change for people.
Jungian Oriented Psychotherapy is the path to that deeper, lasting change. I will guide you through Jungian dream interpretation. You will learn the symbolic language of the Psyche, or your highest and best Self. It takes months and sometimes years for this language to be mastered. But it is so worth it.
This part of you will always guide you toward wholeness. And Psyche is now waiting for you to call me and get started.
You’ll also get tools for your journey ahead.
As therapy unfolds, you will master mindfulness tools to release tension and relax your body. You will be able to live in the present moment, the now. Mindfulness skills help people improve focus and remember where they put things and whether they have taken their vitamins.
Cognitive skills will help you identify unhelpful and sometimes harmful thought patterns and quickly get to the root of them. You will be able to make decisions and respond to your inner critic. Moods will no longer steer your ship.
Once you learn the symbolic language of the Psyche, you will have a lifelong companion guiding you to your best and the deepest connection with your Self.
You’ll welcome fear and doubt as your growth edge.
In teaching Yoga, I always encourage students to ride the edge between effort and ease. Enough effort to maintain focus, enough ease to avoid physical injury. I was keeping them on the edge of their growth.
In therapy, we’ve hit a growth edge when fear arises. You will lean into that fear enough to stretch yourself in new ways but not so far that you become overwhelmed and shut down. I will be an objective and encouraging accountability partner, coaching you into that sweet spot between effort and ease.
As you progress in therapy, you’ll conquer your challenges, and with each win, you’ll have the strength and willingness to lean into the next one!

About Me
For most of my adult life, I longed for deeper connections.
Through my own spiritual and therapeutic journey…
I have ventured into the woods with a Native American shaman.
I’ve spent months in a spiritual retreat.
One Lent, I read the Bible in 40 days.
I shoveled horse poop as my first job.
I received a formal education, first at community college and then at Cornell and Syracuse.
Through these experiences, I found a deep connection.
Dynasty and Dallas were the two big shows when I was young, and part of me bought in. I thought making money would make me happy. With each new dollar figure of earnings, my body became tenser, my heart grew sadder, and I set a new goal to achieve that elusive happiness.
At the same time, I would practice meditation, spiritual retreats, and yoga classes. But I couldn’t maintain a sense of peace when I was home or back in the office. Finally, I collapsed into exhaustion and depression.
I found a therapist and discovered a path to my deepest Self. It started with having someone hold me accountable for applying mindfulness skills over and over until they became a habit. Along the way, I learned the cognitive skills to help me discover and work with limiting thoughts and beliefs I didn’t know I had.
The most frustrating part of therapy, the depth of work, became the best part. Years of struggling with understanding my dreams came together as I learned the symbolic language of my Psyche. That deep connection with my highest and best Self gave me a lasting sense of peace. When that clicked in, I just wanted everyone to have that.
Helping people experience deep connection is my calling.
Having found da deep connection, I wanted to pay that forward.
As a spiritual life coach and therapist, I get to help others. Often when people master mindfulness skills and cognitive tools, they feel they are done. That’s ok with me because you are in the pilot’s seat. I‘m just the navigator.
I also know that the work we have done to move them toward understanding their own Psyche is still unfolding. Most often, they come back in 6 months to a year. Not with depression or anxiety, just will that longing to understand more fully their Self. To finish what we started and learn the symbolic language of Psyche. Once they have that deep connection, they, too, have an inner companion for their highest and best life.
To be honest, it all feels good for me. Helping people heal wounds and achieve goals is very rewarding – witnessing someone come into a relationship with their highest and best Self. Well, that is the creamiest, sweet icing on a beautiful cake.
I’ve even helped horses build trusting connections with humans.
My love of horses is one of the old joys I recovered in therapy. That discovery ignited a passion for finding horses that had been neglected or abused and bringing them back. I used the calm, focused attention I gained through mindfulness to help them take small steps to recovery. As they sensed my patience and love, the horse could go from a rearing beast, terrified of humans, to a loving friend running up for hugs and strokes.
The most important thing I learned was whether the horse was taking a step forward or backward in any given session was far less important than my staying calm and focused and knowing that it was all part of the healing process.
Your therapy may have less dramatic ups and downs than a rearing horse, but I will always be looking at your healing – helping you move into the deepest connection with your Self.
When I’m not doing therapy…
I get a lot of joy from cooking at home.
And books… I love them. If you like reading, I can turn you to some helpful works.
And I have my rescue dogs. I’m grateful to them because they make me walk!
I believe you’ve been doing your best…
But to get better, you have to do better.
Let’s discover who you are so that we can shatter your limits!
