What used to bring you peace and connection…
… are no longer working.
It used to be you could lose yourself in a book. Or, dance to music until you laugh at yourself.
Now you feel alone and sad even when others are around. Even the wine that completes your home-cooked meals seems to have lost its flavor. And when was the last time you had the energy to cook anyway?
You feel it in your mind and body.
You’re tense and exhausted.
It feels like your shoulders are carrying the weight of the world.
You wake up with a headache. You toss and turn when you try to get some sleep.
It’s getting harder and harder to concentrate. You don’t even enjoy putting together a decent meal. You feel so moody that sometimes you don’t want to be around yourself.
You wonder how others manage.
Scanning your phone, you see so many smiling faces. Others are showing off their perfectly plated dinner. Or, posting another run with a four-minute-mile score.
Where do they get the energy? How did they find the time?
You’d be happier if you could just find the motivation to set a goal. Sometimes, it’s hard to remember who you really are.
Here’s how therapy can help…
Interpreting your dreams…
Learning to drill down into your unconscious helps you more fully understand the negative cycles you are caught in. You meet all the discarded parts of yourself. Both good and bad.
You will uncover your personal Shadow. A part of you that can sabotage your happiness. When you start to turn your life around, the Shadow will try to steal your energy and leave your body sick and tired. The Shadow drives negative relationship cycles, too.
Jungian dream interpretation unlocks hidden resources waiting to be mined for your benefit. The flip side of meeting the Shadow is finding your highest and best Self. Also known as Psyche, this part always has your best interest at heart. Your Psyche can tell more precisely than anyone else how to thwart the Shadow. When you learn the language of the Psyche, you’ll have a partner to help you move toward wholeness. You’ll experience firsthand the meaning of deep connection.
I’ll be your guide to the unconscious.
Restoring your energy and focus…
Aren’t you tired of showing up for everyone else before yourself?
You can reclaim the power of each moment using mindfulness skills. You’ll learn to identify and change problem thinking with cognitive therapy skills. As you master various relaxation skills, you can let the tension melt from your body.
I’ll teach you mindfulness, relaxation, and cognitive therapy skills that free up energy.
Walking beside you…
Not all your discoveries in therapy will be comfortable, but you won’t be alone. I’ll be an open, welcoming soul to support you as you connect to the deepest part of your Self.
My patient, accepting, and nonjudgmental nature creates a trusting container for self-exploration. I frequently hear from people, “You made me feel so safe that I was finally able to share everything that I have been struggling with.”
I’ll be a companion on your journey.
Experiencing deep peace…
In therapy, you’ll discover that your sense of peace and connection to the world doesn’t depend on external circumstances. You may have one or more fantasies about happiness in a new thing, future relationship, job, or place to live. Marketers depend on us holding on to this false belief. But for how many days (or hours) does that new car make you happy?
There is no island where everything works out. Once we have connected with our interior world, we can find peace in almost every circumstance. Our Psyche will use all circumstances to help us move toward a deep connection with our Self, to move us to wholeness.
During our work together, you’ll find yourself expanding your capacity to be with your Self and others – in good times and bad.
I’ll be a coach to your success.
